Aberdeen, UK, has appointed Brian Forgie as West Africa area manager and Stuart Murphy as well services manager for the UK.
Operating from a base in Douala, Cameroon, Forgie will be responsible for setting up two new bases: one in the free port of Luba, Equatorial Guinea; the other in Port Gentil, Gabon. His responsibilities also include oversight of existing BJ Services operations in Cameroon, Angola, the Ivory Coast, Congo, and Mauritania.
Forgie has been with BJ Services since 1977, most recently serving as country man ager for Norway. He holds an ONC in applied physics from Aberdeen Technical College.
Murphy is based in Aberdeen, and oversees operations for the provision of coiled tubing, pumping, and underbalanced drilling services on and offshore in the UKCS. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
BJ Process and Pipeline Services announced the ap point ment of Carl Mook as base manager for its operational facility in Dubai, UAE. He oversees all operations for the division in the Middle East.
Mook holds an ONC in electronic engineering from Norwich City College, England, and has 16 years of experience in the process and pipeline industry.

Atlanta, has signed an agreement to acquire PII Group Ltd., formerly Pipeline Integrity International, from HgCapital.
Based in the UK, PII is a leader in pipeline in-line inspections and integrity management services for the oil and gas industry. HgCapital acquired PII from British Gas in 1998. Expanding its business through a number of acquisitions, PII now operates in over 45 countries worldwide. PII is headquartered in Cramlington, Newcastle, UK.
GE Power Systems continues to expand its service presence in the oil and gas industry. The company is a leading supplier of power generation technology, energy services, and management systems to the power generation, oil and gas, distributed power, and energy rental industries.

Houston, has appointed Robert H. Rothberg as vice-president of engineering. Rothberg has more than 25 years of experience in offshore engineering, technology development, and project execution. He was involved in projects such as the SPS (submerged production system), Lena guyed tower, and Auger tension leg platform. Rothberg earned bachelor's, masters, and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering from Rice University.

Wood Group ESP
Oklahoma City, has promoted five executives to key positions. Named are Mike Sackash, senior vice-president of Western Hemisphere operations; Mark Russell, North American operations manager; Brian Sevin, vice-president of sales and market development; Kent Rooks, manager for the Middle East region; and Peter Todd, Oman country manager.
Sackash has 25 years of experience with submersible pumps, international operations, and business expansion. Most recently, he was senior vice-president of business development for Wood Group Well Support. Russell previously was manager of the Middle East reg ion. Sevin has been with Wood Group ESP since 1989. Sackash, Russell, and Sevin will be based in the ESP office recently opened in Houston.
Rooks has 22 years of engineering, management, and international experience, and most recently served as Oman country manager for WGESP. Todd has more than 13 years of industry experience, and has worked in Oman since joining the company a year ago.
