Free catalog features pipe hangers, supports

A new catalog of pipe hangers and supports is offered free for the asking.

The new engineered hanger catalog contains specs, illustrations, and 4 color photos. The catalog delineates products, specs, software support, and custom design and manufacturing services.

You will find a line of pipe hangers and supports along with variable springs, constant supports, sway struts, hydraulic snubbers, rigid hangers, and special fabricated steel supports.

Freestanding gas monitor goes wherever hazards are

A freestanding, transportable gas detection and alarm unit promises reliable protection wherever temporary hazards are present.

"Detective" monitors as many as four gases simultaneously, warning of dangerous gas levels with a wailing 101 db siren and flashing, high intensity LED beacons visible from any direction.

A single unit can be used for monitoring small areas or protecting lone workers. For wider coverage (for example, when tracking the spread of a gas leak), several Detectives can be linked to create a perimeter monitor around the site. Those sensing a dangerous gas level flash their warning lights faster than the others in the network, allowing personnel to identify the safest exit route. Users can customize alarm tones, which helps ensure that audible warnings are heard in noisy environments.

Detective incorporates a sturdy tripod to keep gas sensors raised above obstructions and away from surface water. An integral safety cage gives extra protection in the event of the unit being overturned.

A 48-character text display large enough to be seen at a distance shows gas levels for all four channels simultaneously, making it easier to track multiple gas hazards. Sensors are available for oxygen, flammable gas, and all toxic gases commonly encountered in the industry.

The unit is intrinsically safe and protected against water and dust ingress to IP65-NEMA 4X. Power is provided by a sealed 6 v rechargeable battery giving up to 24 hr continuous monitoring in quiescent mode.

Two new well centralizers

The Spir-o-mizer and the Econ-o-lizer are two new centralizer products now available to the industry.

The Spir-o-mizer cementing tool helps enhance hole cleaning and cement placement. It's suited for use when hole cleaning and cement placement are critical, but torque and drag are not major issues. The spiral blade design enhances fluid swirl in the annulus between the wellbore and casing. As a result, drill cutting and filter cake removal is enhanced for improved cement bonding. In addition, the 360° cement coverage creates the mechanical seal re quired to isolate annular fluid and gas migration.

The second tool-the Econ-o-lizer-is a positive rigid unit made of solid steel. It is designed to replace the bow spring style of centralizer. The Econ-o-lizer is suited for use on less demanding wells with limited deviation. With zero running force, faster well bore running times have been recorded when using the Econ-o-lizer, the firm notes.

Multitasking pressure regulator

This specialist distributor of components for gas and liquid control is now supplying the Kenmac KHF, which is a single-stage multitasking pressure regulator that combines high flow capabilities of a bulk gas distribution regulator with high sensitivity and accuracy of a point-of-use regulator.

The KHF has a Cv flow coefficient of 1.0 and features a balanced poppet design that provides excellent pressure regulation accuracy of 0.2%, the company says. The large diameter convoluted diaphragm maximizes sensitivity and minimizes droop, suiting it for line regulator and the main pressure control device for gas distribution systems. It is also designed for use as a secondary pressure regulator in a gas system and as the final pressure control element upstream of an analyzer.

It is suited for all gases including those requiring high purity regulation. Typical applications include analyzer sampling systems, bulk gas distribution, and calibration and zero gas control for high accuracy laboratory analyzers, gas distribution manifolds, and high-flow purge systems.

The regulator also features metal to metal diaphragm sealing, low torque-fine pitch adjustment, an antirupture diaphragm design, and full material tractability. NACE certification is also available.
