Chatsworth, Calif., has announced the promotion of Hal Koyama to senior vice-president of sales and marketing, and Jeff Willis to senior vice-president of engineer ing.

Capstone Turbine Corp. is a leading producer of very low emission microturbine systems serving, among others, hybrid electric vehicles, resource recovery, and micro-cogeneration applications.

Foster Wheeler Ltd.

Hamilton, Bermuda, has announced the appointment of C. James Crumm as vice-president of project risk management for its Foster Wheeler Inc. subsidiary. Crumm, a graduate of Trinity University, San Antonio, Tex., joined Foster Wheeler in 1981. He has managed complex successful projects in the refining, petrochemical, and power sectors. Most recently, he served as president and vice-chairman of Foster Wheeler Caribe Corp.

Foster Wheeler Ltd. is a global provider of design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, project development and management, research, plant operation, and environmental services.

Innovative Gas Systems (IGS) Inc.

Malvern, Pa., has been created through the management-led purchase of Generon (USA), Italfilo Engineering (Italy), Mahler AGS (Germany), and SMC Asia Gas Systems Co. (China) from the industrial gases group, Messer Griesheim GmbH.

The four IGS companies will be known as Generon IGS Inc., Italfilo Engineering IGS Srl, Mahler IGS GmbH, and SMC IGS Asia Gas Systems Co. Ltd. Each will retain its own identity and product and service offerings.

Products of IGS support its innovative technologies in nitrogen membranes, nitrogen PSA, oxygen PSA/VPSA, hydrogen SMR, and unique knowledge in environmental incinerations.

Technip-Coflexip

Paris, has signed an agreement to sell its affiliates McNulty Offshore Ltd. and Captain Frank McNulty & Sons Ltd. to the managing director of McNulty Offshore Ltd. Technip-Coflexip had a 90% stake in both companies following the purchase of Aker Deepwater Co.

Technip-Coflexip is among the world's largest providers of oil and petrochemical engineering, construction, and services.

Petroleum Analyzer Co. LP (PAC)

Houston, has appointed D. Marshall Brown as Eastern Hemisphere area manager for the online process instrumentation portion of PAC. Brown has over 23 years of hydrocarbon process product and distribution management experience.

PAC's main product groups are Alcor, Herzog, ISL, PetroSpec, and Precision Scientific Petroleum Instruments (PSPI). PSPI is a world leader in online refinery process instrumentation, including automatic instruments for continuously monitoring viscosity, flash point, cold behavior, vapor pressure, fuel blending, and distillation points. The association between PSPI and PetroSpec has allowed development of a series of online fuels analysis instruments.

Torch Offshore Inc.

New Orleans, has appointed Robert E. Fulton as chief financial officer. Fulton has over 27 years of treasury experience with Global Industries Ltd., McDermott Interna tional Inc., and E.I. DuPont deNemours & Co., with service in both domestic and international financial markets. He received a BA degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a master's degree in international management and finance from the American Graduate School of International Manage ment (Thunderbird).

Torch Offshore Inc., established in 1978, is involved in offshore pipeline installation, and subsea construction for the oil and natural gas industry. The company is expanding its operations beyond shallow water to serve the worldwide industry's growing needs in deep waters.

Transocean Inc.

Houston, has promoted Gregory L. Cauthen to senior vice-president, chief financial officer, and treasurer.

Transocean Inc. is a leading global offshore drilling contractor with more than 150 full or partially owned and managed mobile offshore drilling units, inland drilling barges, and other assets used in support of offshore drilling activities worldwide.

Gulf Interstate Engineering

Houston, has named David McMurray vice-president of Gulf Interstate Field Services (GIFS). McMurray, who most recently served as manager of business development with Gulf Interstate Engineering, has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry.

Gulf Interstate Field Services, currently headquartered in Tulsa, provides specialized personnel to energy clients worldwide. Future business plans include expansion of the international business, entry into non-energy markets, and headquarters relocation to Houston.
