Aberdeen, has announced the appointment of Kenny Watt as area manager of the Middle East region for BJ Tubular Services.

Aberdeen, has announced the appointment of Kenny Watt as area manager of the Middle East region for BJ Tubular Services. He will be based in Dubai. Watt has served as manager of completion services for BJ Tubular Services in Aberdeen for nearly 10 years.

BJ Tubular Services specializes in personnel and equipment to run casing and tubing. BJ Services Co. is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

C&C Technologies Inc.

Lafayette, La., has announced the opening of a new office in Singapore. Rick Shannon, Singapore DGPS sales manager, will direct sales from the office for Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

C&C Technologies provides global marine and land surveying services. Its new concept in GPS positioning, C-Nav, is being used worldwide.

Carlyss, La., has announced an executive restructuring. Peter S. Atkinson, president, will assume responsibilities for all administrative functions worldwide. Ap pointed to new positions were J. Michael Pearson, chief operating officer; Nicholas A. Alvarado, senior vice-president, worldwide business development; and Eduardo Borja, area vice-president, Mexico and Latin America.

Atkinson has over 23 years of experience with J. Ray McDermott S.A. and McDermott International Inc. prior to joining Global in 1998.

Pearson previously was president of the CAByL joint venture company for Enron Engineering & Construction Co., and had held management positions with McDermott International Inc.

Alvarado served for 30 years with Chevron before coming to Global.

Borja had over 21 years of experience in business development and construction management with ICA-Fluor Daniel.

Additional appointments announced include Craig Milburn as operations manager for Global Divers, based in New Iberia, La.; Bill Alexander as business development manager for North America, based in Houston; Rob Tissington as business development manager for West Africa, based in Lagos, Nigeria; and Clive R. Makinson-Sanders as director of projects-global Mexico, based in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.

Global Industries Ltd. provides pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, diving services, and other marine support to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico's Bay of Campeche

Houston, has announced acquisition of controlling interest in Scana Rotator AS (Rotator), a provider of control valves and systems for the offshore oil and gas industry. Larry W. Rogers has been named vice-president and general manager of Rotator Prod ucts and Services, which will be part of Grant Prideco's newly created Marine Products and Services Division. Rogers, who has more than 30 years of industry experience, previously had been with Gilmore Valve, Kvaerner FSSL, and ABB Vetco Gray.

Also appointed to management positions with the Marine Products and Services Division were Curtis D. Burton, president of the division; Earl Broussard, vice-president and general manager of XL Systems; Ben van Bilderbeek, chief executive officer of Plexus Ocean Systems and chairman of Plexus Deepwater Technologies; Ian Milne, president of Plexus Ocean Systems; and Craig Hendrie, president of Plexus Deepwater Technology.

Burton had previously served as president and CEO of Total Offshore Production Systems. Broussard came to Grant Prideco from Cal Dive International, where he was business development manager. Van Bil der beek founded Plexus Ocean Systems, which was acquired by Grant Prideco in 2001. Milne was previously with the Wood Group. Hendrie had been with Imperial Chem ical Industries before joining Plexus.

In another move, John R. Beltz has been named vice-president of marketing communications for Grant Prideco. Beltz previously had service with Pierpont Communications and Bates Church ill Advertising, as well as various marketing positions at FMC Energy Systems Group.

Grant Prideco is involved in drill stem technology development and drill pipe manufacturing, sales, and service. The company is a leading provider of engineered connections, and premium tubulars in North America, and provides a variety of product and service solutions to the worldwide marine and deepwater market.
