Erikson is chairman of the board of Cooper Cameron Corp., a leading manufacturer of oil and gas pressure control equipment and assembled systems for oil and gas drilling, production, and transmission. Previously, he had been with The Western Co. of North America, Joy Manufacturing Co., NL Industries Inc., Digicon Inc., Hoover Universal Corp., and General Electric Co.

Boyadjieff is chairman and chief executive officer and a director of Varco International Inc. An inventor with more than 50 US patents, he is considered to be the leading developer of surface drilling equipment during the last 25 years.

Richards is vice-president of marketing for Schlumberger, with global responsibilities for testing & completion systems and artificial lift.

Seaver is president and chief executive officer of Hydril Co. LP. Prior to joining Hydril, he was a corporate lawyer, and had served as a foreign service officer with the US Department of State.

A2D Technologies

Houston, has announced that Mark Kidder has joined the company as senior product manager for a new log storage and retrieval product scheduled for release later this year.

Kidder previously was vice-president of operations for International Datashare Corp., after beginning his career with Core Laboratories.

A2D Technologies is a leading provider of well log data, software, and data management services to the petroleum industry.

GX Technology (GXT) and Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP)

Houston and Rueil-Malmaison, respectively, have announced an agreement whereby GXT will offer seismic depth imaging services using IFP's patented Luminus software. Luminus is the industry's first shot-based 3D plane wave pre stack depth migration imaging solution.

GX Technology is a leading provider of image-driven seismic programs.

Institut Français du Pétrole is a leading European independent center for research and industrial development, education, training, and information for the oil and natural gas industries.

Helix Well Technologies

Aberdeen, has announced the acquisition of Aberdeen-based Reservoir Development Services (RDS) Ltd. from the Norwegian marine group, Brovig ASA. The merged activity will operate under the name Helix RDS.

RDS has provided geoscience, reservoir engineering, and well operations management consultancy services to the petroleum industry since 1993, working on a range of North Sea and other international fields.

Peter Leach, former managing director of RDS, has been named Helix RDS regional director-Europe. Roy Hartley, formerly Helix Well Technologies regional director for Australia and Asia, has been reassigned to serve as director in London. John Harris, formerly commercial director of RDS, takes over Hartley's position as regional director of Australia and Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Helix Well Technologies Ltd. is an independent provider of production technology and completion engineering consultancy services to the upstream oil and gas industry. The company has operated on every continent, and has provided services to a wide range of clients, including major international operators, national oil companies, independents, and oil field service companies.

Mustang Engineering LP

Houston, has announced that Vince Cuevas, Gil Weisberger, and Walt Hampton, founding partners of Allen Process Systems, New Iberia, La., have joined Mustang. The three will support existing Mustang projects and provide engineering services to a broad client base.

Mustang Engineering is an independent services provider specializing in design, engineering, procurement, project management, and construction management of upstream oil and gas facilities and structures, process plants, pipe lines, and control and automation projects.
