Valve offers optional fugitive emission module

An optional fugitive emissions module is available for Tufline ball valves.

The module features the same spherical S2 seal as the ball valve itself; its standard design meets the requirements of ASME B16.34 CL150.

The module has a double set of belleville washers that live load the stem packing and the S2 spherical seal. This helps to assure positive sealing in high cycle severe service applications. A PTFE chevron stem packing provides a secondary dynamic stem seal.

A stainless steel powder-filled PTFE bushing supports the module’s blowoutproof stem, extending the life of all stem sealing components and providing additional support for the prevention of side loads on the stem. A monitoring port is provided for mounting of pressure and sensing devices.

The fugitive emission module is a 316SS investment casting, developed to ASTM E-446 Level II standards to ensure casting integrity and corrosion resistance.

An ISO 5211 mounting pad top and bottom makes installation of the module on the valve simple and economical, the company points out.

The spherical S2 seal allows the Tufline process ball valve and the module to compensate for any minor stem movement caused by side loading; it works like a ball joint to maintain the integrity of the stem seal even with movements of the stem due to side loading and wear of the sealing components.

The new Tufline ball valve is available in one-piece flanged, two-piece flanged, and three-piece screwed, socket-welded, and butt-welded end models.

The one-piece and two-piece valves have interchangeable internal parts; the three-piece valve body allows for easy disassembly and maintenance.

Sizes available are 1/2 in. through 8 in. in ANSI class pressure ratings of 150, 300, and 600.

They provide tight shutoff from high vacuum through rated pressure at temperatures of -20° F. to +450° F.

New units measure oxygen contamination in gas

New explosionproof, wall-mounted Models GPR-15 XP and GPR-15A XP ppm oxygen transmitters combine a low range of 0-100 ppm ±2% with an electrochemical sensor that offers a response of 90% of full scale in less than 10 sec.

Designed to measure ppm levels of oxygen contamination in natural gas systems from wellhead to transmission lines, the transmitter meets the safety standards demanded for Class 1, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D, NEMA 4X service.

Additional features include flame arrestors on the gas inlet-outlet ports, stainless-steel wetted parts, and front-panel LCD. The GPR-15 XP is a 9-36 v dc two-wire loop-powered transmitter.

The GPR-15A XP is a 9-36 v dc nonloop powered unit that features user-adjustable alarms with relay contacts. Both transmitters have a 4-20 ma output signal.

Controls include 4-20 ma zero and span potentiometers and a range selector switch. Operating temperature range is 0-45° C. with a subfreezing option (for both the sensor and LCD) of -30° C. Dimen- sions are 12 by 8 by 10in.; weight is about 15 lb.

Other options include range combinations as specified by the user, 1-5 v dc nonloop signal output, and customized sample conditioning and H2S scrubber systems.

The fuel-cell type galvanic sensor’s expected life is 18-24 months. An alternate sensor is available for continuous use in the presence of C02 with the subfreezing option of -30° C.

Free catalog on bimetallic dial thermometers

A new full color catalog, yours free for the asking, features rugged and accurate bimetallic dial thermometers.

The catalog introduces a new line of ALL PRO bimetal dial thermometers. This new line offers value and accuracy in 2, 3, and 5 in. dial sizes with back, bottom, and versatile all-angle case configurations, all with polished stainless steel construction.

High-visibility dual, Fahrenheit and Celsius scales are offered in temperature ranges suitable for most bimetal dial applications: from a low temperature of -40° F. (-40° C.) to a high of 500° F. (260° C.). Popular stem lengths and connection fittings are provided for ALL PRO dials. One percent of range accuracy and external recalibration is standard on most models.

In addition, the new catalog illustrates the manufacturer’s line of Slip-Fit bimetal dial thermometers, designed to slip into existing industrial-type liquid-in-glass thermometers.

The maker says these rugged instruments are suited for fast, economical replacement of mercury-filled glass industrial thermometers.

Also presented in the catalog is a line of ALL STAR bimetal dial thermometers, available in 3 or 5 in. dial sizes, all-angle or back-connected stainless steel case styles, and a selection of temperature ranges, stem lengths, thermowells, options, and accessories.
