Houston, has announced creation of their Value Added Services Group, and named Bill Ross senior vice-president to head the new business unit. Ross is a longtime member of A2D's executive team, and is the creator of the company's well log correlation software application, SmartSection. He holds a BS in biology from the University of Connecticut, and a master's in geology from Louisiana State University.

A2D Technologies

A2D Technologies is a leading petroleum well log data, software, and data management services company. The Value Added Services Group will champion the use of digital well logs (LAS data) to enhance the work of exploration professionals, and promote creation of new products and services from A2D's expanding digital well-log database.

Advanced Resources International Inc. (ARI)

Houston, has formed an alliance with Austrian-based Decision Team-Software GmbH. Under terms of the alliance, ARI will provide technical consulting services using Decision Team's virtual intelligence software, initially focusing on identifying production enhancement opportunities in US oil and gas fields. The services and sales combination is expected to better meet the needs of customers for this emerging technology application.

Atlantia Offshore Ltd.

Houston, has announced the appointment of Greg Rhodes as director of deepwater sales & marketing. Rhodes' responsibilities will focus on promotion of SeaStar TLP deepwater development systems in the Gulf of Mexico. He will be working with Atlantia's sister FSO/FPSO companies Single Buoy Moorings Inc., Monaco, and SBM-IMODCO, Houston.

Atlantia Offshore Ltd., formed in 1979, provides quality engineering and innovative platform designs to the offshore oil and gas industry. The company has distinguished itself by specializing in the development of marginally economic offshore projects.

Fugro Geosciences

Houston, has announced that Kenneth Mohn has joined the company as exploration vice-president for Fugro Multi Client Services, and has promoted Bob Peebles to vice-president of sales & marketing Americas.

Mohn will develop new seismic projects in the Western Hemisphere, and will provide marketing support for the company's international multi-client library.

Peebles will develop markets and proprietary contract work for the Fugro Geoteam vessels in the Americas.

Dayton, Ohio, has announced the promotion of Glen Wood to regional sales manager of its Ohio Valley region. Wood has over 20 years of experience in the nondestructive testing industry.

US Inspection Services (USI) operates a nationwide network of full service facilities providing nondestructive testing, metallurgical analysis, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing.

Kvaerner Oilfield Products

Houston, will become a part of Aker Kvaerner, a new group created through the merger of Aker Maritime and Kvaerner Oil & Gas.

Kvaerner Oilfield Products is a fully integrated company, providing a complete range of surface and subsea services for the oil and gas industry, from front-end studies and engineering, through manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and operational support.

Petris Technology Inc.

Houston, has opened a new European branch office in Toulouse, France, and named Eric Déliac as president of Eastern Hemisphere operations for Petris. Déliac had previously held positions of president and COO of GeoNet Services, vice-president of research and development for Elf E&P, and executive vice-president of Compagnie Géneralé de Géophysique. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, and the Paris School of Mines. He earned a doctorate in rock physics from Paris University.

Petris Technology, formed in 1994, is comprised of professionals with both energy industry and information technology backgrounds. The company provides web services architecture, and has a unique vender neutral integration application.

PGS Production Services

Aberdeen, has appointed Roddy McKnight as director of its new Commercial Division. McKnight has over 12 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, and has been with PGS Production Services for almost 6 years.

PGS Production Services, a part of the PGS Group, is a leading provider of operations management solutions, maintenance, engineering, and construction services to the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co.

Houston, has announced that John Cramer has joined the company as program development manager for the Gulf of Mex ico. Cramer received a master's degree in geology from the University of New Orleans, and has worked for Shell Oil Co., Diamond Geophysical, Diamond Geoscience Research Corp., and Veritas DGC.

TGS-NOPEC is a leading global pro vider of non-exclusive seismic data, and associated products to the oil and gas in dustry. The company also offers proprietary seismic acquisition and processing services, as well as gravity and aeromagnetic surveys.

Wood Group ESP

Oklahoma City, has hired Bruce Nelson as senior vice-president of global manufac turing, and has opened a new 15,000 sq ft engineering center dedicated to research and development of innovative pumping technology at its headquarters location.

Nelson's experience includes more than 12 years dedicated to electric submersible pump technology at Schlumberger Well Completions, Camco, and Reda.
