Bayou Flow Technologies LLC

Houston, is the new company formed as a joint venture of The Bayou Companies LLC, New Iberia, La.; Perma-Pipe Inc., Niles, Ill.; and Cuming Insulation Corp., Avon, Mass.; to provide flow assurance solutions for the offshore oil and gas market. The three founding companies have long track records in pipeline fabrication, anti-corrosives, coatings, and thermal insulation.

Bayou Flow Technologies, under the general management of Hank Reuser, offers insulation and flow assurance, corrosion protection and related services, welding and fabrication, syntactic foam buoyancy, engineering, and testing services.

Aberdeen, UK, has appointed Bruce Campbell as health, safety, environmental & quality manager for the UK Well Services Division; and Lindsay Link as country manager-Norway for the Well Services Division-Europe & Africa region.

Campbell has over 23 years of experience in the oil industry, and has been with BJ Services since 1992.

Link is based in Stavanger. He has been with BJ Services for 18 years, having joined the company in Calgary, after re ceiving his BS degree in mechanical engineering and master's in finance from the University of Calgary.

BJ Services Co. is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services to the petroleum industry.

Dresser Inc.

Dallas, has appointed Charles S. Wolley to the position of president of its business unit, Dresser Measurement. He previously served as senior vice-president of Dresser Measurement.

Wolley obtained a BS degree in industrial engineering from Cornell University, and has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing.

Dresser Inc. is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of highly engineered equipment and services sold primarily to customers in flow control, measurement systems, and pow er systems segments of the energy industry.

Deer Park, Tex., has named Bennett Ghormley to the position of vice-president. Ghormley holds a BS in industrial technology from Texas A&M University, and has received numerous honors from various safety organizations during his 30-year career in safety management.

Certified Safety Specialists LLC provides trained safety attendants, supervisors, and managers to the refining, chemical, and petrochemical industries.

Global Industries Ltd.

Carlyss, La., has appointed J. Michael Pearson to the position of senior vice-president, strategic planning, responsible for worldwide project performance. Pearson has 30 years of engineering and construction management experience, including 25 years with McDermott International Inc. He holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

Global Industries Ltd. provides pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, diving services, and other marine support to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico's Bay of Campeche.

Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services LLC and TDA Research Inc.

Houston, Tex., and Wheat Ridge, Colo., respectively, have signed an agreement to jointly develop and market TDA's direct oxidation process for recovering sulfur from amine off-gas. The collaboration will combine TDA's direct oxidation technology with catalyst technologies of Gas Tech nology Products LLC, a member of the Merichem family.

PerkinElmer Instruments

Shelton, Conn., has appointed David Spaight to the newly created role of vice-president of global sales and service for its Analytical Instruments Division.

Spaight, who received a BS in chemistry and an MBA from the University of Michigan, began his scientific industry career as an analytical chemist at the Ford Motor Company. He has been with PerkinElmer since 1985.

PerkinElmer Instruments provides application-specific analytical solutions for a variety of industries.

Technigaz and Zachry Construction Corp.

Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France, and San Antonio, Tex., respectively, have signed a strategic partnership to form Technigaz-Zachry.

The partnership covers the design and construction of onshore LNG import projects and tanks, as well as offshore gravity base structure terminals in the US, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.

The alliance pools Technigaz's turnkey LNG project expertise and broad-based knowledge of the market with Zachry's construction capabilities and strong position in the Americas.

Technigaz is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bouygues Offshore. Texas-based Zachry was founded in 1924.

London, has appointed experienced oil services senior manager Kevin Keable as business development consultant to market its services to the UK oil and gas industry.

In his 18 years of industry experience, Keable has worked for BJ Services, Nowsco Well Services, and most recently for CAC Ltd.
