Deepwater Gulf of mexico knowledge base

The new ReservoirKB, released earlier this year, is a knowledge base for exploration and appraisal geoscientists and engineers in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico region.

It covers all deepwater productive reservoir sands discovered, in production, sanctioned for development, or bypassed.

The firm says its knowledge base provides a combination of reservoir engineering data, geological description, production data analysis, reservoir performance metrics, analogs, lessons learned, and regional knowledge.

Pressure transducer certified for hazardous locations

A 5.3 in. tall by 1.5 in. wide PT-400 heavy duty pressure transducer is part of a family of PT-400 units that has received ATEX and IECEx certification, rated EX II 1G Ex ia IIB T4 Ga, for use in hazardous locations. With all stainless steel laser welded construction, these pressure transducers promise reliable high pressure sensing in harsh environments that are prone to high shock and vibration and high pressure spikes throughout a range of operating temperatures.

Like others in the series, the 5.3 by 1.5 in. oil field transducer provides a minimum of 10 million operating cycles with accuracy as high as ±0.1% full scale, in operating temperatures of –40o to +180° F. Units cover pressures in a range of 0-20,000 psi, along with high burst pressure to 3x full scale (limited by the process connection) and overpressure to 2x full scale for in-process reliability.

Transducers offer standard 4-20 mA, 0-5 v DC and 0-10 v DC outputs with a 1/4-18 NPTM process connection. Even with the stainless steel housing, users still have access to zero and span adjustments for calibration to specific application requirements.
