Colombia The Las Maracas-5 development well in Colombia has tested at the maximum rate of 3,762 b/d of 30° gravity oil, natural, for 30 hr from Cretaceous Middle Gacheta sand. The flow was choked due to limited storage capacity at the site and did not include a contribution from the Lower Gacheta sand, said Petroamerica Oil Corp., Calgary. Parex Resources Inc. and Petroamerica each holds a 50% interest in the Los Ocarros block in the Llanos basin. Middle Gacheta, which also produces in the Las Maracas-3 and 4 wells, was tested in Las Maracas-5 from a 6-ft perforated interval, and water cut was 0.1% at the end of the test.
