New slurry density meter

The new DM3 density meter performs nonnuclear continuous in-line measurement of processed slurries.

It calculates density by measuring direct mass over a known volume within a flow tube. By directly calculating density rather than inferring or estimation, this technology helps improve accuracy, value for money, and environmental viability of sensor and mass flow systems, the company says. Originally designed to replace technologies for mining and dredging, the firm says the DM3 has proved to be safer and more cost effective than hazardous nuclear techniques or autosampling within any slurry processing operation.

The DM3 measures abrasive media thanks to its resilient gum-rubber lined flow tube with customization options for high pressure and extreme temperature applications.

Tools identify emerging unconventional plays

DI PRO is a new integrated set of exploration and production business intelligence tools that the maker says radically shortens the time necessary to identify and evaluate emerging unconventional hydrocarbon plays.

DI PRO consists of integrated modules DI Land, DI Geology, and DI Analytics.

Features include integrated geological sequence analysis, geological grading of unconventional reservoirs, detailed field development and engineering best practice analytics, company operational benchmarking, and deep mineral ownership and leasing information dating back to sovereignty. This subscription level helps enable users to get a deeper understanding of the land, geologic, and engineering aspects of the hottest plays in North America, the firm points out.

New high temperature tubulars protection

New D-350 fiberglass internal lining systems for high temperature applications are available for API and premium connections, ranging from sizes of 23⁄8 in. through 133⁄8 in. The product line provides corrosion protection of steel tubulars with temperature resistance of as much as 350° F./177° C.

D-350 may be installed in threaded tubular goods with nearly any connection option. API threaded connections generally employ the elastomeric DUOLINE corrosion barrier ring. The elastomeric ring manufactured from a high performance rubber compound helps ensure corrosion protection to the vulnerable connection area.

New hydrocarbon measurement services

Newly launched iMeasurement Services offers hydrocarbon gas and liquid measurement.

The maker says the new service is designed to improve the accuracy and accountability of determining compositional values, custody transfer volumes, production and sales reconciliations, and equipment accuracy. Electronic flow measurement is but one typical area in which iMeasurement solutions can improve data precision and integrity, flow and well data management, and remote data retrieval, the firm adds.
