Wireless transceivers for oil field operations

Specialized wireless transceivers available to the industry provide wireless connectivity and off-the-shelf convenience in a compact, cost-effective package, the maker says.

Available in various configurations, including radio frequency transceivers and radio modems, these units permit integration into systems demanding performance in congested frequency environments. A small footprint helps minimize space requirements, while all components are placed on the top side of a single PCB for mechanical rigidity and increased protection against damage.

Narrow band (12.5 kHz) and very narrow band (6.25 kHz) models are available. Data streaming and packet modes can be supported. Dual transmit and receive audio paths are available as well. Embedded radios support voice and data applications.

Direct modulation with low distortion and low group delay result in a low bit-error-rate for enhanced system integrity and reliability. The Swift Lock synthesizer-loading algorithm reduces unit turn-on-time to less than 10 ms or high-speed data throughput, and Controlled Envelope keying reduces adjacent channel "key clicks," resulting in spectrum friendly operation. All models meet the 2013 FCC narrow band mandate.

The DTX Plus and DTX-Ls series transceivers and the DTXM RadioModem each can be tailored to suit particular application requirements—providing a specialized yet cost-effective means of achieving wireless connectivity.
