Husky Energy Inc. has let an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract to TechnipFMC for the connection of the West White Rose platform offshore Newfoundland and Labrador with the SeaRose floating production, storage, and offloading vessel.
The contract involves supply and installation of subsea equipment, including tie-in manifolds, flexible flowlines, and control umbilicals.
White Rose field is more than 200 miles east of St. John’s on the eastern edge of the Jeanne d’Arc basin in 393 ft of water.
In May, Husky Energy said it expects to start oil production from its West White Rose project in 2022 with a gross peak production rate of 75,000 b/d in 2025 (OGJ Online, May 30, 2017).
Husky owns and operates the SeaRose FPSO.
