Vaquero Midstream LLC, The Woodlands, Tex., is planning construction of the 200-MMscfd Caymus II cryogenic processing plant on the firm’s existing Caymus plant site in Pecos County, Tex., in the southern Delaware basin.
Vaquero notes that the 30-in. and 24-in. Lariat rich-gas gathering header transverses northwest from the Caymus facility near the Waha gas hub in Pecos County through some of the highest gas-oil ratio production in the southern Delaware basin. More than 70 rigs are currently active within 10 miles of Vaquero’s gathering line.
Construction is estimated to be complete in first-quarter 2018. The project will be supported by an agreement with Vaquero’s bank group to increase its revolving line of credit to $95 million from $40 million.
After completion of the Caymus II plant, Vaquero will have 400 MMscfd of processing capacity in service at the site, with further expansion capability to more than 1 bscfd. The Caymus I plant was commissioned about a year ago (OGJ Online, July 7, 2016).
