Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has signed a contract with CGG to conduct a 2,180-sq-km full fold 3D survey using ocean-bottom nodes in the deepwater Santos basin offshore Brazil.
According to CGG, this will be the largest node survey acquired and processed in the industry.
The acquisition will be performed by Seabed Geosolutions, CGG’s joint venture with Fugro. The resulting dataset will be processed in CGG’s Rio de Janeiro Subsurface Imaging Center.
