Stephen B. Allen is succeeding Stephen W. Lake as Tulsa-based Oneok Inc.’s senior vice-president, general counsel, and assistant secretary.
Allen, who previously served vice-president and associate general counsel, was responsible for management of Oneok legal matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, major construction projects, and commercial contracts, including recent gas gathering and processing contract restructuring efforts.
Allen was a shareholder at GableGotwals, a Tulsa law firm, before joining Oneok in 2006.
Lake joined Oneok in 2011 after serving as executive vice-president and general counsel of McJunkin Red Man Corp. He began his career in 1991 as an associate with GableGotwals, where he was a shareholder for 10 years and a member of the firm's board from 2005 until 2008.
