National Iranian Oil Co. has designated five more international oil and gas companies “prequalified” to bid on upstream projects under a redesigned contract (OGJ Online, Apr. 10, 2017).
The prequalification list now has 34 companies.
New on the list are Gazprom Neft, Rosneft, Tatneft, and Zarubezhneft, all of Russia, and state-run SOCAR of Azerbaijan.
NIOC made the additions just before the June 19 deadline for the submission of proposals for developing giant Azadegan oil field.
