Lindberg succeeds Cheeseman as SemGroup VP, general counsel

Susan Lindberg has joined SemGroup Corp. as vice-president and general counsel. She succeeds Candice Cheeseman, who previously announced her retirement.

Lindberg has 25 years of experience in the energy business. She most recently served as general counsel and corporate secretary for Eni US Operating Co. Inc. She joined Eni in 2006.

Prior to Eni, she was assistant general counsel at Duke Energy Corp. and was with Enron Corp., where she joined the company as senior counsel for Enron Transportation Services and later became a director of government affairs. She began her career as an associate in the energy section of law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.

Cheeseman, who held the general counsel position at SemGroup since 2010, will remain with the company for a transitional period.

Lindberg will report directly to SemGroup President and Chief Executive officer Carlin Conner.
