Eric Johnson has taken the helm at Gulf Oil as president and chief executive officer, roles vacated by Jerry Ashcroft on June 10 as he left the company to pursue other interests. 

Eric Johnson has taken the helm at Gulf Oil as president and chief executive officer, roles vacated by Jerry Ashcroft on June 10 as he left the company to pursue other interests.

Johnson is a 26-year veteran of the energy industry with executive leadership experience throughout the refined product value chain. Prior to joining Gulf, he held several leadership roles in operations and logistics.

Ashcroft joined Gulf in spring 2016 following its acquisition by ArcLight Capital Partners LLC from Cumberland Farms Inc.
