Ikon Science Ltd., a reservoir geoscience company, has made appointments to its international management team.
Pieter Gabriels, to be based in Australia, will head Ikon Science’s business development and client relationship management for Australasia. Formerly a QI Geoscientist with Royal Dutch Shell PLC, one of his priorities will be to focus on reservoir geoscience opportunities onshore.
Mehdi Belrhalia has been named business manager for Ikon Science’s Middle East and India markets. Previously with CGG in the Middle East, he will be based in Abu Dhabi where the company is opening a new office. A geophysicist by training, Belrhalia spent 12 years of his career with Schlumberger Ltd.
Fareed Mushtaq is joining Ikon Science’s Malaysia office in Kuala Lumpur as business development manager for Asia Pacific’s emerging markets. Mushtaq previously was with CGG where he was responsible for business development in the Asia-Pacific market and brings 16 years of experience.
Ikon Science earlier this year named Mark Bashforth as chief executive officer (OGJ Online, Feb. 27, 2017).
