India’s government has signed contracts for 31 areas awarded in the Discovered Small Fields (DSF) Bid Round 2016. Twenty-three are onshore and eight offshore (OGJ Online, Feb. 16, 2017).
Bharat PetroResources Ltd. signed contracts for five areas, while PFH Oil & Gas Ltd. and Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. each signed three.
The signings took place in New Delhi with Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, minister of petroleum and natural gas.
The government is now working towards a second round of DSF bidding, according to Press Information Bureau-India.
