Fugro and TGS are acquiring multibeam echo sounder and subbottom profile data over the Gulf of Mexico to identify hydrocarbon seep features on the seafloor and through the water column.

The Fugro Gauss and Fugro Brasilis survey vessels are acquiring data in 750-4,000 m of water for analysis of seafloor bathymetry, acoustic reflectivity, and shallow subsurface structures. Data from the “Otos” survey will help a later geochemical coring campaign.
