The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management released the final multi-sale environmental impact statement for Gulf of Mexico oil and gas lease sales it has scheduled for 2017-22. The 10 scheduled sales will be in BOEM’s western and central planning areas and in part of its eastern planning area.
The final multi-sale EIS analyzes the baseline conditions and potential environmental effects of oil and gas leasing, exploration, development, and production in the region-wide lease sale area, which covers about 95 million acres, BOEM said.
The three volumes of the final multi-sale EIS can be downloaded from the agency’s Environmental Comment and Public Review web page.
