Louis Belanger has joined privately held Upstream Exploration LLC, Metarie, La., as vice-president of engineering.
With more than 32 years of experience in reservoir engineering, prospect evaluation, and corporate reserves, Belanger had worked as an independent consultant since 2013. Earlier, he was senior vice-president of engineering at Goldking Onshore Operating, senior reservoir engineer at Cimarex Energy, and director of acquisitions and reserves and economics at Energy Partners Ltd.
After beginning his career at ARCO, Belanger worked 11 years at Louisiana Land & Exploration.
