Parsley Energy reorganizes management structure

Parsley Energy Inc., Austin, has reorganized its management structure by creating executive officer, senior vice-president, and vice-president tiers, effective Jan. 5.

Parsley Energy Inc., Austin, has reorganized its management structure by creating executive officer, senior vice-president, and vice-president tiers, effective Jan. 5.

As part of the move, the firm has promoted Matt Gallagher to president and chief operating officer; Mark Brown to vice-president, security and risk management; Kristin McClure to vice-president, human resources; and Mark Timmons to vice-president, field operations.

Gallagher joined Parsley in 2010 as engineering and geoscience manager, and was promoted to vice-president, engineering and geoscience in 2013 and then vice-president and chief operating officer in 2014. He previously worked for Pioneer Natural Resources Co. from 2005 to 2010.

Brown joined Parsley in 2014 and previously served as the company’s director of security. As vice-president, security and risk management, he is responsible for overseeing the security, internal audit, and risk management functions of the company.

McClure joined Parsley in 2012 and previously served as the company’s human resource director. As vice-president, human resources, she manages all human resources functions such as staffing, talent management, compensation, payroll, benefits, employee relations, property management, and training.

Timmons joined Parsley in 2015 as the company’s senior operations manager. As vice-president, field operations, he is responsible for overseeing the activities of the operations department, including all field operations personnel. He has more than 30 years of oil and gas industry experience.
