Statoil ASA has let contracts to three companies for the Trestakk development in the Norwegian Sea.

FMC Technologies and Technip Norge will jointly handle engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI). The work includes subsea template, manifold, subsea trees, completion system, wellheads, pipelines, risers, control systems, control cable, and marine operations.

Statoil said Aker Solutions will handle topside work at the nearby Asgard A production vessel, which will be modified to receive oil and gas from Trestakk. The work mainly consists of piping to connect the well stream to the vessel, and upgrading the metering systems.

Statoil submitted the plan for Trestakk development and operation to authorities on Nov. 1 (OGJ Online, Nov. 1, 2016).
