Nilsson takes executive vice-president, COO role at Statoil

Jannicke Nilsson has been appointed executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Statoil ASA.

Jannicke Nilsson has been appointed executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Statoil ASA.

For the past 15 months, Nilsson has been senior vice-president for operational performance projects. Nilsson joined the company in 1999 as a project engineer.

She succeeds Anders Opedal, who has been named country manager in Brazil. Opedal will be in Rio de Janeiro. He joined Statoil in 1997 as a petroleum engineer and has been COO for 19 months.

Pal Eitrheim, the current manager in Brazil, will be transferring to Stavanger as chief procurement officer.
