Asim Ghosh is retiring Dec. 5 as president and chief executive officer of Husky Energy Inc. He has held the titles since June 2010 and will remain on the board, which he joined in May 2009.
Ghosh is former managing director and chief executive officer of Vodafone Essar Ltd.
Robert J. Peabody, Husky’s chief operating officer since 2006, has been named as successor to Ghosh (OGJ Online, Jan. 12, 2006; May 24, 2010). Peabody will join the board of the Calgary-based company on Dec. 5.
Peabody is a former member of the leadership team at BP PLC, where he headed four major businesses in Europe and the US.
