Anthony Neilson has been appointed chief financial officer of Santos Ltd.
Neilson has more than 14 years of upstream and downstream oil and gas industry experience in the UK, China, Southeast Asia, and Australia. He is currently chief executive officer of Roc Oil Co. Ltd., which was acquired in 2014 by Hong Kong-listed investor Fosun International Ltd.
Neilson previously was chief financial officer of Roc and has held commercial, finance, and business services roles at Caltex Australia Ltd., Credit Suisse First Boston in London, and Arthur Andersen LLP in Sydney.
Neilson is expected to join Santos in December. Current Chief Financial Officer Andrew Seaton, who recently announced his retirement from the company, will remain with Santos to ensure an orderly transition.
