Hagevang to take CEO role at Lime Petroleum

Terje Hagevang will succeed Ivar Aarseth as chief executive officer of Lime Petroleum Norway AS. Aarseth, who has served in the position since 2012, is retiring effective Nov. 1.

Terje Hagevang will succeed Ivar Aarseth as chief executive officer of Lime Petroleum Norway AS. Aarseth, who has served in the position since 2012, is retiring effective Nov. 1.

Hagevang since May 2014 has been the firm’s chief operating officer and exploration manager, roles he will maintain alongside the added duties of chief executive officer. His industry experience includes managerial positions at Amerada Hess and Saga Petroleum ASA.

Hagevang also was a founding partner of Sagex, an oil and gas exploration and production consultancy. He has international experience and knowledge of all areas of the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Aarseth has nearly 40 years of technical, operational, and managerial experience in the industry with independent or multinational energy firms and governmental bodies such as DNO ASA, Conoco Norway, Total E&P Norge AS, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, and the Norwegian Agency for International Development, mostly in Norway, the Middle East, and Africa.
