Keppel Offshore & Marine subsidiary Keppel FELS has delivered the fifth-generation high-spec accommodation semisubmersible Floatel Triumph to Floatel International.

The vessel has been chartered by Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. for placement at the company’s Wheatstone natural gas field offshore Western Australia. It is expected to arrive on location in mid-October and stay for the duration of the construction phase of the Wheatstone development (OGJ Online, Dec. 22, 2015).

The Triumph will then work for Japanese company Inpex Corp. on the Ichthys LNG project field further north in the Browse basin offshore Kimberley (OGJ Online, Nov. 6, 2015).

Keppel has worked closely with Chevron and Inpex to ensure the floatel meets all the requirements of work in these fields.
