Patrick G. Cooke has been selected by Clayton Williams Energy Inc., Midland, Tex., as its senior vice-president and chief operating officer effective Oct. 31.
Cooke spent the last 4 years serving in various management roles at Houston-based Noble Energy Inc., most recently as Texas business unit manager, where he had direct management responsibilities over the firm’s Delaware basin assets.
Clayton Williams announced the addition of Cooke alongside its plan to partially direct proceeds from its Giddings divestment toward development of its Delaware basin acreage (OGJ Online, Oct. 25, 2016).
Prior to Noble, he worked in various capacities at BP America, including as operations manager for the Thunder Horse platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
