Daniel J. Weaver has been named president and executive director of the Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA). The move is effective Sept. 1.
He succeeds Louis D. D'Amico, who is retiring after 22 years in the role and 44 years in the oil and gas industry. D'Amico will consult with Weaver and the PIOGA staff on a part-time basis for 4 months to ensure a smooth transition.
Weaver has served as PIOGA's public outreach director since 2012, and previously held several leadership positions associated with the Drake Well Museum in Titusville, Pa., for 8 years.
