Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) said 11,704 employees have enrolled in its voluntary termination program designed to “optimize productivity and reduce costs.”
Registration launched Apr. 11 and closed Aug. 31 (OGJ Online, Apr. 4, 2016). With 12,000 employees qualified for the program, Petrobras intended to save $10.2 billion.
