The US Bureau of Land Management’s Utah Canyon Country District is seeking public comments on an environmental assessment it prepared for its plan to offer 6,741 acres of southeastern Utah land it administers at a February 2017 oil and gas lease sale.
The EA addresses issues raised during internal and external scoping such as air quality, wildlife, and the Old Spanish Historic Trail, BLM’s Moab and Monticello field offices said in their joint announcement. Comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. local time on Oct. 17, they indicated.
