Gatto, Conn take on additional roles at Callon Petroleum

Joseph C. Gatto Jr. has added president to his current role of chief financial officer and treasurer of Callon Petroleum Co., Natchez, Miss. He will continue to report to Fred Callon, chief executive officer and chairman.

Mitzi P. Conn has been appointed to the newly created position of vice-president and chief accounting officer. She will report to Gatto.

Gatto joined Callon Petroleum in 2012 as senior vice-president of corporate finance before being promoted to his current roles. He’s had a long-standing relationship with the company acting as an outside advisor on financing and strategic assignments.

He’s also served as a managing director with both Merrill Lynch & Co. and Barclays Capital.

Conn was appointed corporate controller in 2007 after serving as assistant controller. She has held various other positions in finance and accounting since joining the Callon Petroleum in 1993. She previously was with Graham Resources Inc.

Callon Petroleum also appointed Gary A. Newberry as senior vice-president and chief operating officer (OGJ Online, Aug. 25, 2016).
