Murrieta, Becerra appointed directors at Pemex

The board of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) has approved the appointments of Carlos Murrieta Cummings as managing director of Pemex Transformacion Industrial SA de CV, effective Sept. 1, and Rodrigo Becerra Mizuno as director of business processes and information technology, effective Sept. 5.

The board of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) has approved the appointments of Carlos Murrieta Cummings as managing director of Pemex Transformacion Industrial SA de CV, effective Sept. 1, and Rodrigo Becerra Mizuno as director of business processes and information technology, effective Sept. 5.

Founded in 2015, Pemex Transformacion Industrial processes, imports, exports, markets, and sells oil, natural gas, liquid hydrocarbons, and petrochemicals.

Murrieta served as director of operations at Pemex from 2009 to April 2015. Before joining the company, he worked 18 years at consulting firm McKinsey & Co., holding a variety of positions including managing partner.

Becerra joins Pemex from Microsoft Corp., where he most recently served as public sector director, Asia beginning in June 2012. Before serving in various roles at Microsoft, he was advisor to Mexico’s Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit.
