White Star makes financial, legal executive appointments

White Star Petroleum LLC, until recently known as American Energy-Woodford LLC, has appointed Caleb G. Morgret as chief financial officer, Jeffrey J. Zanotti as senior vice-president, general counsel and secretary, and Richard D. Pollot as chief accounting officer.

White Star Petroleum LLC, until recently known as American Energy-Woodford LLC, has appointed Caleb G. Morgret as chief financial officer, Jeffrey J. Zanotti as senior vice-president, general counsel and secretary, and Richard D. Pollot as chief accounting officer.

Morgret joins White Star after serving 4 years at Chesapeake Energy Corp., most recently as vice-president and treasurer. Prior to Chesapeake, he worked in investment banking, having served in various roles with JP Morgan, Mizuho Corporate Bank, and UniCredit Group in London, Frankfurt, and Vienna, respectively.

Zanotti moves over from Seventy Seven Energy Inc., where he was assistant general counsel and assistant secretary. Before Seventy Seven Energy, Zanotti worked at Chesapeake for 4 years as assistant general counsel, corporate and securities.

Pollot joins the firm after spending 12 years at Mustang Fuel Corp., most recently as director of exploration and production accounting. Prior to joining Mustang Fuel, Pollot worked for Ernst & Young LLP for 13 years.

In April, Elliot J. Chambers, formerly chief financial officer, was named chief executive officer, and Joseph D. Craig, formerly vice-president of operations, was named chief operating officer (OGJ Online, Apr. 20, 2016).

Separately, the firm has closed on its $200-million deal to acquire Mississippi Lime and Woodford shale properties from Devon Energy Corp. (OGJ Online, Apr. 20, 2016).
