Skripka appointed Tethys chief commercial officer

Alexander Skripka has been named chief commercial officer of Tethys Petroleum Ltd.

Alexander Skripka has been named chief commercial officer of Tethys Petroleum Ltd.

In his new role, he will be responsible for all commercial activities including gas sales, existing and new contract or license negotiations, and negotiations on financing, divestments, and acquisitions.

Skripka previously worked for Kazakh state-owned KazTransGas JSC and has management experience at several other Kazakhstan based oil and gas firms.

Over the last 6 months, he has worked with Tethys management in all aspects of the company, including gas sales, license extension, restructuring of debt, and obtaining a new loan facility from a Kazakh bank.

Skripka is a director and shareholder of Kazakhstan firm Olisol Petroleum Ltd., which owns 15.8% ordinary shares of Tethys.
