Rimrock expands holdings in SCOOP play

Rimrock Resources Partners LLC, Tulsa, has acquired about 24,500 net leasehold acres held by production and 3,100 net mineral acres in the Golden Trend part of the SCOOP play of Oklahoma for $150 million. It didn’t identify the seller.

Rimrock Resources Partners LLC, Tulsa, has acquired about 24,500 net leasehold acres held by production and 3,100 net mineral acres in the Golden Trend part of the SCOOP play of Oklahoma for $150 million. It didn’t identify the seller.

Production is about 2,100 boe/d. The acquisition boosts Rimrock’s holdings in the area to more than 30,500 acres prospective for Devonian Woodford, Mississippian-Pennsylvanian Springer, and Mississippian Sycamore across 150 mostly contiguous sections.

Privately held Post Oak Energy Capital, Houston, and Ceja Corp., Tulsa, participated in the investment.
