David D. Powell has been named chief financial officer and executive vice-president of Cobalt International Energy Inc., Houston. He replaces Shannon E. Young III.
Powell has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 35 years, most recently as chief financial officer of BHP Billiton-Petroleum.
