Tallgrass Pony Express Pipeline LLC is holding a binding open season soliciting shipper commitments for light crude petroleum transportation service from the Buckingham receipt point in Weld County, Colo., on the Northeast Colorado Lateral (NECL) of Pony Express to delivery points at Ponca City and Cushing, Okla.
The light crude petroleum, also known as condensate, will be batched as a fourth common stream on the pipeline. Participating shippers will agree to ship API 48-55° crude. Current Pony Express streams are:
• Bakken Light Sweet common stream, originating at Guernsey, Wyo., containing not greater than 0.2% sulfur, and having an API gravity of 40-46°.
• Mixed Sweet common stream, originating at Guernsey, containing not greater than 0.5% sulfur with an API gravity of 30-38°.
• The Niobrara common stream, originating at Guernsey and at receipt points on the NECL, containing not greater than 0.42% sulfur, and having an API gravity of 34-42°.
Based on commitments received, Pony Express plans to add new capacity from Colorado to Oklahoma. The open season closes Aug. 31.
