Ed LaFehr has been named president of Baytex Energy Corp., Calgary, effective July 18. He will report to James Bowzer, chief executive officer.
LaFehr had been chief operating officer at Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. since 2014. He was named president of the company’s North American business in 2012.
Earlier, he was senior vice-president at Talisman Energy Inc., accountable for Canadian assets. LaFehr served 30 years at BP PLC and Amoco Corp., with technical and commercial responsibilities that included operations in the US, the UK, Egypt, and Trinidad and Tobago.
