Coffeyville Resources Refining & Marketing LLC, a subsidiary of CVR Refining LP, Sugar Land, Tex., has slowed production rates at its 115,000-b/d refinery at Coffeyville, Kan., following an interruption to operations along an associated products pipeline.

The company reduced production rates at the refinery on June 7 due to Magellan Midstream Partners LP’s temporary suspension of an 8-in. refined products pipeline that transports as much as 30,000 b/d of refined products from the refinery, CVR Refining said.

The pipeline, which extends from Coffeyville to Kansas City, Kan., is one of three pipelines that transport the refinery's products to the markets it serves, the company said.

CVR Refining did not disclose details regarding either the precise impact to production rates at the refinery or a timeframe for when the plant would resume full operations.
