Mike Hinson has been tasked with leading Midland, Tex.-based Parsley Energy Inc.’s newly established corporate development department, taking the role of vice-president, corporate development effective July 1.
In his new role, he will lead Parsley's acquisition and divestiture activities. Hinson previously served as vice-president, land, a position that will now go to Stephanie Reed, also effective July 1.
Hinson joined Parsley in 2009 after working in land management for Pioneer Natural Resources Co. and its predecessor Parker & Parsley Petroleum Co. for 12 years. Reed joined Parsley in 2010, most recently serving as investor relations manager.
