Nigel Hearne, deputy managing director of Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. and its Australasia business unit (ABU), will become managing director of ABU on June 1. He will report to Steve W. Green, president of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration & Production.
Roy Krzywosinski, currently managing director of ABU, has been appointed to the new position of vice-president of engineering in Chevron’s Energy Technology Co. (ETC) in Houston. Krzywosinski will report to Paul Siegele, president of ETC and chief technology officer. His appointment also is effective June 1.
Hearne, who joined Texaco Inc. in 1989, served as operations manager at both the Pembroke refinery in the UK and Chevron’s El Segundo, Calif., refinery before becoming vice-president of strategy for Chevron’s downstream strategy, technology, and commercial integration business unit in 2010.
A year later, Hearne was named general manager of the Richmond, Calif., refinery. Before being named to his current position in January of this year, he was vice-president of the Appalachian-Michigan business unit.
In his new role, Krzywosinski will have enterprise-wide responsibility for facilities engineering. As part of the move, the company is consolidating ETC’s facilities engineering department with the upstream capabilities facilities engineering group into a single organization within ETC.
Krzywosinski joined Chevron in 1981 as a design and construction engineer. Prior to his current role he was president and general manager of Chevron Project Resources Co.
