Ahmed Mohammed Al Kaabi has been named UAE's governor for the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
He previously served as assistant undersecretary for oil, gas, and mineral resources in UAE’s energy ministry. Before joining the energy ministry, he was director of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.’s (ADNOC) Singapore office.
