Douglas Schwedland has been named chief executive officer of EPIX, a joint venture of Weir Oil & Gas, a provider of pressure-pumping equipment, and MTU, a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Power Systems. EPIX will provide an integrated system for hydraulic fracturing.
Schwedland, with more than 20 years of experience in the diesel engine and business systems industries, most recently was chief executive officer of MTU Middle East FZE and business development director, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, for Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG.
