Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has let a contract to Wood Group Kenny (WGK) for detailed design of the flowline system for the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) on the North West Shelf offshore Western Australia.

WGK also will support related procurement and construction processes. Under a separate contract let last year, WGK completed flowline front-end engineering design for GWF-2 (OGJ Online, Feb. 5, 2015).

The $2-billion project, greenlighted in December (OGJ Online, Dec. 11, 2015), is the next phase of gas supply to existing North West Shelf project infrastructure after the Persephone project.

GWF-2 will develop 1.6 tcf of 2P raw gas reserves from Keast, Dockrell, Sculptor, Rankin, Lady Nora, and Pemberton fields through the existing Goodwyn A platform. It’s slated to come online during second-half 2019.
