American Midstream (Alabama Intrastate) LLC (Magnolia Intrastate), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Midstream Partners LP, has begun a nonbinding open season for a proposed 45-mile extension of the Magnolia Intrastate pipeline (Magnolia Extension) to transport as much as 500,000 MMcfd of natural gas beginning in 2019.

Magnolia Extension would connect the existing Magnolia Intrastate pipeline to Tennessee Natural Gas Pipeline’s 500 Line, transporting gas under 20-year, firm agreements to Williams’s Transco pipeline through an existing interconnect.

American Midstream intends Magnolia Extension to increase supply diversity in the southeast US and address transportation bottlenecks associated with rapid development of gas in the Marcellus and Utica shale formations in the Appalachian basin.

The nonbinding open season will end Apr. 11.
